Peabody’s Coal Train (PCT) is an acoustic Americana 6 piece band featuring Jason Teaster on acoustic guitar and vocals, Dave Anderson on harmonica and vocals, Steve Cybulski on banjo and vocals, Dave Carroll on mandolin and vocals, Scott Hayes on lead acoustic guitar, dobro and vocals, Marc Fraley on upright and electric bass, and Larry Houghton (formerly PCT upright bass player) doing sound and filling in when needed.

Livin' the dream in the Contoocook River Valley region of the rolling hills of New Hampshire, the band enjoys playing an eclectic mix of Americana, folk, Appalachian mountain music, classic  country, swingy blues, old time gospel, and blue-grassy toe tapping type tunes.

All six band members are song writers, so PCT shares a fair number of truly enjoyable, listening or toe tapping original tunes incorporating the joys and sorrows of the human condition. What’s most unique about PCT is that there are 5 lead singers, each with his own unique sound. When they aren’t singin’ lead, they are often blending harmonies. At times, you may see all 6 band members bopping about; hollering out a joyful chorus.

They have been known to acoustify a familiar classic rock and roll tune or two as well. PCT musicians share a wide variety of interests and musical tastes; drawing influences from legendary musicians such as John Prine, Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, George Jones, Tom T. Hall, and Townes Van Zandt as well as modern day artists including Drive By Truckers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Uncle Tupelo, Sturgill Simpson, and Split Lip Rayfield.

PCT is sure to delight at festivals, backyard barbecues, farmer's markets, weddings, pig roasts, bars, and listening audiences throughout the south/central region of NH and beyond. Hope y’all like to hear it as much as we like playin’ it.
